 ls we have widely differing experiences of doing a
 nd being - saving and savoring in EB White's terms
 . How do we find a healthy balance?</p>\n \n <p>Th
 is retreat is led by Rhian Taylor and Jacqui Avery
  who will use poetry\, movement and creative pract
 ices to help us explore the tensions and opportuni
 ties inherent in the way we integrate the differen
 t energies of our lives. Through Qigong and explor
 atory art\, you will be supported to reflect on th
 e balance of your life\, as well as learning new p
 ractices which encourage increased presence\, flow
  and insight.</p>\n \n <p>Rhian and Jacqui will dr
 aw on their very different experiences of being an
 d doing polarities to explore the questions raised
  - and the dilemmas inherent - in living a full an
 d integrated life. There will be resources for per
 sonal reflection and plenty of space for time alon
 e and enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery.</p>\
 n \n <p>Every day you'll be able to take part in Q
 igong\, art activities and group reflections. None
  of these require any previous experience\, and al
 l activities will be optional. Spiritual accompani
 ment will be available\, one-to-one\, if you would
  like it.</p>\n \n <p>Drawing on a range of secula
 r and sacred traditions we aim to provide a retrea
 t welcoming of all\, whether or not participants f
 eel at home within a specific spiritual tradition.

 ncerns of social justice and action\, she is a soc
 ial worker currently working therapeutically in th
 e NHS with children in care. She combines this wit
 h working as a freelance trainer\, teacher and as 
 a mentor for social care workers. Much of her trai
 ning and writing focuses on issues of wellbeing an
 d support for people in the caring professions.  R
 hian is also drawn to silence\, contemplation and 
 retreat. Immersed in the writing of Father Richard
  Rohr\, Thich Nhat Hanh\, Parker Palmer and John O
 ’Donohue and the poetry of Mary Oliver\, David Why
 te and Rosemary Whatola Trommer\, working out the 
 daily dilemmas of a life of action and contemplati

 lues being over doing\, balancing creative\, movem
 ent and spiritual practices with paid work and fam
 ily life.  She worked as a secondary school music 
 and special needs teacher for 25 years and is curr
 ently a Qigong teacher\, spiritual accompanier\, a
 llotment holder\, and maker. Jacqui is chairperson
  of the Kundalini Collective which is a peer suppo
 rt group for people going through awakening experi
 ences. She is an experienced retreat leader and tr
 ained as a spiritual accompanier alongside people 
 from Christian\, Buddhist\, Taoist and Pagan backg
 rounds. She is currently focusing on not separatin
 g out ‘spiritual’ practices from others that are a
 lso life-giving and enriching.</p>\n \n <p> </p>\n
