Wild Worship (ONLY CAMPING AVAILABLE)
An enchanting chance for both the young and the young-at-heart to dive into the natural world and marvel at the wonders of creation.
Monday 27th to Friday 31st July 2026

Spend an unforgettable week this summer with Rachel Summers as she brings her unique touch to Othona, filling it with her signature muddy magic. Dive into nature with activities like bug hunting, den building, and creating natural art and crafts. Relax in hammocks, concoct mud pies, and experience the freedom of barefoot walking. Engage in wide games, learn the skill of lighting fires and toasting marshmallows, and practice mindful whittling. As you immerse yourself in these earthy adventures, listen for the whisper of God’s voice in the wind and feel His presence in the mud and shells along the beach. By exploring creation as the fifth book of the gospels, you'll uncover the wonders it reveals about the God who crafted it all.
Mthr Rachel Summers is a Pioneer Curate in Walthamstow and a forest school practitioner and trainer, living and working in east London. She loves to help people wonder and wander through wild places, and loves her scruffy urban wilds as much as any place of outstanding natural beauty. She is involved in the forest church network creating opportunities for people to worship outdoors, and has written a few books to help other people get this happening too. She enjoys the company of people, no matter how tiny they are, and thinks she’s very lucky to have a job with so much weather in it.
