Qi Gong, Meditation & Creative Writing
Qi Gong, Meditation & Creative Writing lead by Peter Jaeger
Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October 2026
Space is available on this event

This retreat will focus on the relationship between creative writing and meditation. These practices both employ embodied, mental and linguistic techniques of discipline, imagination, and attention, and the retreat will aim to investigate the potential for meditation to foster creative practice. Along with sitting meditation, the retreat will introduce participants to Qi Gong, an ancient Chinese art that seeks to restore wellbeing through bringing body, breath and mind together in a series of meditative physical exercises. The sense of stillness in motion that is explored through Qi Gong benefits creativity and promotes mental, emotional and spiritual health. All these exercises can be adapted and practised by anyone, regardless of age, previous experience or level of mobility.
