A great week for anyone intrigued by the universe and human efforts to uncover its secrets. Astronomer Roger Noble returns to give brilliantly illustrated talks and brings a powerful telescope for us all to try some practical astronomy.

The dates for this week include the peak of the Perseid meteor shower, the best annual display of shooting stars. So they should be a highlight, as long as we get clear skies, of our evening observations.

Roger's talks focus on general aspects of the universe as well as some of the latest findings in astronomy and space exploration.

The week will be filled with activities for young and old.  Maybe there will be a future astronomer or astronaut amongst us!

Arrivals: from 3pm Monday - first meal is dinner at 7pm

Departures: 11am Saturday

Costs:

Adult Standard:                          £290 per person

Adult Benefactor:                       £360 per person

Adult Camping:                          £220 per person

Adult Camping (Benefactor):     £290 per person

Student:                                     £220 per person

Child 0 – 2 years old:                 Free

Child 3 – 10 years old:               £50

Child 11 – 18 years old:             £125

(Student rate will require proof either by showing a valid Student Card or letter from your place of Education.)

If you are able to afford the Benefactor rate please consider paying as it  helps to support the work of Othona and enables us to provide bursaries to those who otherwise struggle to afford to come.  If you are a UK Tax Payer, please advise on the form if you are happy for us to claim Gift Aid.  If you say yes, we then get a further 25% from the Government to help
